Listen carefully to the narrator speak of each situation in history when the different governments printed their currencies to the point where the currency supply hit astronomical levels. In Germany, the price of gold went from 170 marks per ounce to 87 TRILLION marks per ounce in a 10-15 year period. Now these are extreme cases but here’s my point, what is currently being done in the US now, has been done in the past. We could wisely learn from the past mistakes of others. Price of gold, up until 1970, stayed pretty stable at about $200 USD/Oz., but for some reason the value of gold in terms of US dollars rose close to $1700 USD/Oz. The reason this occurred was because President Nixon made the US dollar completely non-dependent on gold. Prior to this each dollar was equal to a certain amount of gold. Now it is not, it is merely a piece of paper. Yes there is value in it now, but when you dilute the currency by printing it out of thin air, that makes the value of the dollar go down in relation to assets and commodities, particularly precious metals. If countries such as India and China are buying gold at such enormous amounts, this means they know something is eminent.
